We are proud to host various Special events and projects during the year that celebrate our diverse culture and keep our unique community knit close together.

- Peace Day -children walk in procession around the Peace Pole in honor of Peace Day on September 21st
- Trip to the Pumpkin Patch -annual visit to Von Thun's Farm; children are accompanied by parents and enjoy rides, activities and pumpkin picking
- Pumpkin Carving -everyone is invited for pumpkin carving and Halloween sing-a-long; children may wear their Halloween costumes
- Diwali -Indian festival of Light is celebrated by food, crafts and visits from Indian parents in their traditional finery

- Thanksgiving -all students participate in the preparation for Thanksgiving feast, and come together to enjoy delicious food

- St.Nick's Day -St.Nick's comes on his horse and leaves treats in cleaned children's shoes while they sleep
- St.Lucia -oldest boy and girl serve traditional Lusskats pastry to their classmates in honor of this Swedish tradition
- Chanukah -children light Menorah and learn the story of Chanukah and miracle oil
- Las Posadas/Christmas -students are introduced to story of Christmas and Mary and Joseph's search for shelter;pinata celebration

- International Social -multicultural event with food, dance, songs and crafts;open to all

- Chinese New Year -race of 12 animals is told; Chinese parents bring traditional food and red envelopes for good luck
- Parent-Child Day -students bring their Moms and Dads for one hour of classroom time
- Chick Hatch Project -Farmer brings eggs in an incubator and children observe hatching process as well as take care of the chicks for several days

- Passover -story of Passover and Seder plate are enjoyed
- Easter -popular Easter Egg Hunt takes place on the playground

- Spring Clean up -our annual clean up of the playground equipment is due
- Earth Day -let's celebrate our beautiful planet

- Mother's Day Tea -Moms come for a short tea, treat and a gift
- From a Caterpillar to a Butterfly Project -children observe and take care of Caterpillars until they turn into Monarch Butterflies
- Eid - celebrating the end of Ramadan

- Father's Day Celebration- Dads come for a treat and gift in the morning
- End of the Year School Picnic -potluck picnic with performance by students; students also receive their certificates
