The Jewish New Year or Rosh Hashanah is celebrated on Septemeber 25 -26th this year. Rosh Hashanah customs include sounding the shofar (a hollowed-out ram's horn) and eating symbolic foods such as apples dipped in honey to evoke a "sweet new year". Thanks to Naomi and Jonah's Dad, Rabbi Eric we had the opportunity to see and hear the Shofar. The children also enjoyed apples and honey for a sweet New Year!
Please enjoy our videos below in celebration of International Day of Peace! We are so excited to see the children come through our doors in these first few days of school! Welcome back old friends and a warm welcome to all the new ones! A big Thank you to the families for keeping goodbyes sweet but short, for keeping tears (or happy jumps) to yourself, for returning the forms to the office and communicating so well with teachers. It has been a wonderful 2 days! Scroll through the images below to see how busy the children were:)
