Our Octoberfest was a great day to build community with our families. The weather was beautiful and Holmdel park provided the perfect setting, full of red, gold and orange leaves. The children all came in costumes. We had superheroes, a queen, a variety of animals and of course some princesses. Ms. Lee came dressed as a scarecrow, Ms. Katie as Minnie Mouse and Ms. Gabby as giraffe. The food was delicious. The parents were so generous baking and making lots of yummy and nutritious treats. We had pumpkin painting, ghost building and leaf weaving to name a few of the crafts. The day ended with a singing circle. Special thanks to Ms. Kristin for bringing her guitar. This day made some great memories for all who attended.

How wonderful it is to spend a perfect fall day with friends and families from the school! We are very grateful to all the parents who could join us, and we hope you have enjoyed it as much as we did!
Below are some pictures from the Pumpkin Patch, Hay Ride, Corn Maze, Animals... The Jewish New Year or Rosh Hashanah is celebrated on Septemeber 25 -26th this year. Rosh Hashanah customs include sounding the shofar (a hollowed-out ram's horn) and eating symbolic foods such as apples dipped in honey to evoke a "sweet new year". Thanks to Naomi and Jonah's Dad, Rabbi Eric we had the opportunity to see and hear the Shofar. The children also enjoyed apples and honey for a sweet New Year!
Please enjoy our videos below in celebration of International Day of Peace! We are so excited to see the children come through our doors in these first few days of school! Welcome back old friends and a warm welcome to all the new ones! A big Thank you to the families for keeping goodbyes sweet but short, for keeping tears (or happy jumps) to yourself, for returning the forms to the office and communicating so well with teachers. It has been a wonderful 2 days! Scroll through the images below to see how busy the children were:)
